Once, the shores of Japan were host to thousands of all-women diver who gathered up the sea’s bounty by hand: the Ama divers. However, after decades of poverty and the seas warming by climate change, the Ama’s number have dwindled to but a few. This is a story about the last of the Ama, and of course, you. You are the henge [also known as the mononoke], creatures of folk tale, whose only desire is to bring comfort and joy to the people of this world, and of course, have lots of fun while doing so.
